Over the past few years, I've dabbled in and out of a lot of different kinds of writing. After vowing to keep up, I've found that I just can't bring myself to do it. This got me thinking that if I can't bring myself to write, I obviously don't enjoy it any more. I pondered on that thought for about a week. After getting myself quite worked up over the thought (I am, after all, a journalism student), I realised that the reason I wasn't enjoying it was because I wasn't enjoying the topic of my writing.
After sitting through countless tutorials, I realised that I write best when I have an opinion and when I have a voice. Years of writing essays at school and learning the best ways to structure news articles, trend pieces and catwalk reports was starting to beat the voice out of me.
So after this epiphany, I'm back but this time with The Babble. I will write about anything I want to write about and in the way that I wish to write it. You can read it if you like. You might enjoy it.
